Completed.  Before weeks end I am going to try and photograph this cabinet and post the photos.

For the most part the cabinet is complleted.  I had to cut out a new glass shelf as the first one had a fit problem and it was simpler to make a new one than try and force fit it.  Taking photos of the cabinet is not easy, to many reflections.  I don't know how I will solve this one.  Usually at this point I have a name for the the cabinet.  Not so this time.

Close to being completed.  This should be a vary nice little cabinet for curiosities.  The door is glass and i hope to instal it tomorrow.

I need to rethink this blog, Obviously it's not every day.  In Short Pinterest seems to be more my way of doing things.  My goal with this blog is to simply show the things that I make and the photos I take it.  Part of my job is to change lightbulbs of course I'm using an 80 foot aerial lift to do this.  its a good opportunity for photos and Share what I see. 

I love making small display cabinets, my last blog entry was one that I finished last year.  Well I'm close to finishing another one hopefully within only a week.  so for now I'm back.

Makers mark

I put my makers mark on the new cabinet.  I also started to put the finish on, boiled linseed oil and wax. The one thing I need to complete is the name.

Oliver 60 and the Biltmore.

I went to the Biltmore last week.  This is one over the top house.  It's hard to sometimes measure quality,  but as I snooped around back I discovered an Oliver 60.  Now the Biltmore was made in the 1890s and the Oliver 60 in the 1940s.  I wonder if the 60 had lived there since the 1940s, bought new?  It's funny as the week has gone by I have thought more about the little Oliver 60 tractor than the house. I have to laugh,  I guess it was the only thing tangible to me.

New cabinet in October.

 As long as I don't get more Distractions I should have this cabinet completed sometime in October.  The level of detail and tolerances are the best I've ever achieved.  The process has been pleasant and my thinking has been  fluid.

From start to finish

This was a little project for a couple that needed a small table next to the couch in there living room.  Like they said, you simply can’t by things like this. How true.
